Welcome to our lovely restaurant with miles of sea views. Here you can enjoy good food in a relaxed and inviting environment - all year round. During the summer we open up our large terrace towards Baltic Sea, where you can sit down with a drink and gaze out over the horizon.
We serve lunch, dinners and brunch with flavours that follow the season. Throughout the year we celebrate all the big the food holidays - from Valentine's Day and Easter to walking dinner, christmas table and a crackling New Year's menu. With us, there is always something to look forward to.
Our chefs work as much as possible with local ingredients and let seasonal changes guide the menus. This means our offerings vary - but one thing is always the same: the food is cooked from scratch and with a genuine love of good flavours.
Planning a birthday party, wedding, corporate dinner or other celebration? We can accommodate parties of up to 120 people and help you create a memorable experience.

Our experienced chefs have composed inspiring buffets to suit all types of events, large and small. The catering is delivered tastefully presented on disposable plates for easy handling. If you prefer to have the food served on your own plates, you can of course hand them in to us in advance.
Prices apply to orders for a minimum of 20 people and are based on the food being collected from us.
For an atmospheric gathering by the sea, we offer our beautiful banqueting hall Svea. With its generous light and proximity to nature, it creates a harmonious and inviting setting - perfect for everything from family celebrations and anniversaries to corporate events and private dinners. For those who want to take a break and enjoy the sea air, there is our terrace just outside, where you can start your event with a welcoming mingle and miles of views of the Baltic Sea before continuing indoors.
Sveasalen is located next to our restaurant and bar and is a spacious, flexible room with capacity for up to 80 guests. It is just as suitable for medium-sized parties as for larger ones. There is plenty of space to serve a memorable meal in an environment that feels both personal and elegant.
We make sure that the hall is prepared with great care and adapt the furniture and layout to your wishes, so that the flow works smoothly and all guests feel welcome and comfortable. With our experience of organising different types of events, we help you create a holistic experience where Sveasalen and the seaside environment together set the tone for a successful event.
In our restaurant, you will not only find good flavours - but also a story. The carpet that adorns the dining room is a textile tribute to Smygehus Havsbad and the region we have been operating in for over 100 years.
The visual journey starts at lime kilns in the east and extends all the way to the guys in the west - with a nod to Uma Thurmans grandmother who had roots here. Along the railway, which symbolically divides the parishes of Östra Torp and Hemmesdynge, we pass glimpses of local history and colourful personalities.
This is the licensed cinema - to the delight of both unknown and known guests (the old projector can be found in reception). We also pay tribute to Fritiof Nilsson Pirate, who often stayed here and, according to legend, wrote parts of his beloved book Bombi Bitt and me during their visits.
At the bar you will meet Sam Ask, the mythical ”longshoreman” who studied at Lund University for countless semesters without graduating. Here is also a greeting from the legendary NattCafé Smyg Inn of the 90s - the obvious meeting place of the time, where, among others Mr Michael Bindefeldt created unforgettable party nights.
You will also find The magazine in Smygehuk, the scribbles in the sea - and many more details that together form a living tapestry of memories, people and environments.
